A variety of Laren Woolley’s fine art photographs have
received honors and awards in the short time that he
has presented his work for competition. Below is a
sampling of some of this recent success.

“INTO THE LIGHT” took first place
in the “Juried” Scenic Division and third place in the
overall “People’s Choice” Division at the semi annual
conference of the Nature Photographers of the Pacific
Northwest (NPPNW) in the fall of 2004. This
competition has approximately 250 photographers from
all over the northwest and was held in Olympia,
Washington.
At the same competition, Laren’s entry
“FOCUS” took
first place in the overall “People’s Choice” Division
and second place in the “Juried” Scenic Division.
“KELP MAGIC” took first place in the overall “People’s
Choice” division in the Nature Photographers of the
Pacific Northwest (NPPNW) competition in the fall of
2003 held in Portland, Oregon.
“COASTAL EXPLOSION” was entered in a prestigious local
art competition, Cloe-Niemela-Clark 4th Annual Art
Exhibit, focusing primarily on other art forms
including oils, pastels, watercolors, etc. His
photograph won the Honorable Mention award, a
significant honor in a generally non-photographic
competition in October of 2005.
“NEWPORT REFLECTIONS” won the Print of the Month blue
ribbon in the Columbia Council of Camera Clubs (4C’s)
in February of 2005.
“ARCADIA SUNSET” won a red ribbon and award of merit
in the 4C’s competition in March of 2005.
